Polyus IFRS net profit soars to $1.757 bln in January–September
MOSCOW, Nov 23 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian gold producer Polyus soared to U.S. $1.757 billion in January–September from $811 million in the same period of 2020, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Revenue gained 5% to $3.673 billion, and adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization rose by 3% to $2.624 billion. The EBITDA margin shrank to 71% from 73%.
Capital expenditures of Polyus amounted to $539 million in the period, and the company maintained its forecast for capital expenditures in 2021 at $1–1.1 billion.
